The neighborhood retains its feeling of life from Columbia's past. Elmwood Park received the 2013 NUSA 1st place award for Physical Revitalization/Beautification Single Neighborhood Category.

Elmwood Park Neighborhood Association


The Elmwood Park Neighborhood Association was organized on October 4, 1977 at a meeting held at the Park Street Baptist Church. Founding members of the neighborhood association were Elliot Houser, Sr., Thomas Mosley, Roy Lynch, Mack Brown and Rev. H.A. Hinton. The association has played and continues to play an important role of the successful revitalization of Elmwood Park.
